Colombia has three players in the Best XI of the phase: James Rodríguez, Richard Ríos, and Davinson Sánchez.

Semifinalists Canada, Argentina, and Uruguay are also represented among the best of the Quarterfinals

The Quarterfinals marked the beginning of the knockout stage in the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™, where four teams continue their quest for the continental title while another four bid farewell to the competition. Argentina, Canada, Colombia, and Uruguay secured their spots in the Semifinals, thanks to decisive performances from key players who were recognized in the Best XI Team of the Week for this phase.

Despite the dominance of teams still in the tournament, standout players from Venezuela, Ecuador, and Brazil also had their efforts acknowledged in the best of the Quarterfinals.

Davinson Sánchez – Colombia

Colombia's success in the CONMEBOL Copa América 2024™ isn't just due to their impressive attack; their defensive work has been equally remarkable. Central to this is Davinson Sánchez, who not only scored during the Group Stage but also delivered a dominant performance against Panama: 4 tackles, 5 ground duels won, 2 blocked shots, and 33 out of 45 passes completed.

Emiliano Martínez – Argentina

Dibu was tested early in the match against Ecuador, denying a great chance from Jeremy Sarmiento just 15 minutes in. Despite Enner Valencia missing a penalty, the Argentine goalkeeper had a relatively calm 90 minutes. He once again proved why he is one of the most feared goalkeepers in penalty shootouts by saving consecutive penalties from Ángel Mena and Alan Minda, becoming the hero of La Albiceleste's qualification to the Semifinals.

Lisandro Martínez – Argentina

Licha Martínez couldn't have chosen a better moment to score his first career goal for the Argentine national team: he did it against Ecuador in a challenging CONMEBOL Copa América™ Quarterfinal match. Alexis Mac Allister's deflected corner was expertly headed in by Martínez, opening the scoring against Ecuador. In his 78 minutes on the field, he recorded 2 tackles, 5 successful long balls, and completed all 45 of his passes with 100% accuracy.

Piero Hincapié – Ecuador

Originally a center back, Hincapié was deployed as a left back during this CONMEBOL Copa América™ and maintained a high level of performance until the end. He was combative throughout, recording 2 tackles, 4 ground duels won, and a 76% pass accuracy against Argentina, demonstrating why he is already one of the standout players for La Tri.

Richard Ríos – Colombia

Richard Ríos exemplifies the balance Colombia has brought to the fields in the United States and what he can offer to Néstor Lorenzo's team. In the Quarterfinals, the Palmeiras midfielder contributed both defensively with 2 interceptions and 3 ground duels won, and offensively with an 88% pass accuracy and 1 key pass. He capped off his impressive performance with a beautiful goal from a shot outside the area.

James Rodríguez – Colombia

James has been having a brilliant CONMEBOL Copa América™ so far and continues to demonstrate his desire to achieve even more for the Colombian national team. Los Cafeteros' number 10 has reached 5 assists in the tournament—a record tied for a single edition with Lionel Messi (2021)—with two assists in his team's 5-0 win over Panama. He also scored his first goal of the tournament by converting a penalty. James had 4 successful crosses, 48 actions with the ball, and an 84% pass completion rate, crowning a masterful performance.

The CONMEBOL Referee Commission has announced the referee appointments for the two Semifinal Matches of CONMEBOL Copa América USA 2024™.

The matches involved are: Argentina vs. Canada on July 9 and Colombia vs. Uruguay on July 10
